Terms (starter template)

1. Platform, not contractor

FixMyBuild provides a marketplace that connects homeowners and independent trades. We do not provide the trades services ourselves and are not a party to contracts formed between users.

2. User responsibilities

Homeowners must provide accurate job information. Trades must provide accurate profile information, follow applicable laws and regulations, and hold any required licences/certifications.

3. Credits & lead unlocks

Trades purchase credits to unlock leads (chat access). Credits are spent on unlock even if the job is not won. Credits are refunded only for invalid leads in line with the refund policy.

4. Reviews

Reviews should be honest and based on real experiences. FixMyBuild may remove reviews that breach policy (abusive, irrelevant, suspected fraud).

5. Safety & compliance

We may perform verification checks and may suspend accounts to protect users. Verification does not guarantee quality or safety of work. Users should carry out their own checks and agree contracts directly.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixMyBuild is not liable for disputes, losses or damages arising from work performed by trades or decisions made by users.
